Hi!

It's that time again when I'm seeking your help. I know, it looks like I'm always asking you for something. I hope you're not annoyed yet and that you're pretty excited to receive some news about the Patch Up series very soon. You have no idea how nervous that makes me. :)

I don't know if you saw the little announcement I made on Facebook or if you checked Goodreads, but the next two books in the series have a title!

Fix Up and Change Up!

Fix Up is the direct follow up to Patch Up with the conclusion to Duke and Skye's story. And you'll even have a glimpse of what is in Duke's head this time. ;)
Change Up is all about Kate and Derek. It starts just before she begins her second year in college. I swooned several times while writing this book so I hope you'll feel the same.

Both book will be published very close by. One in October and the other one in November. I truly hope you'll be many wanting to read them. Fingers crossed!

That's when I need you.

I have to start organizing the cover reveals (because we'll be revealing both covers at the same time). It's scheduled for late September. Are you interested? Would you like to help spread the word? I hope so!

SYNOPSIS
Four years have passed since I left home, my parents, and my brother Asher behind – since I shut out my past.
And Erin. Four years since I last saw her, since I heard her voice and held her in my arms. I’ve spent my time forging a path from woman to woman, from bed to bed; trying to find an answer. But I think I’ve lost my way. There’s no light at the end of the dark.
No big surprise. I carry the dark inside me. I’m a bastard – branded as such from the start. I never give my phone number and address; I take my pleasure and don’t come back for seconds. No commitments; no promises and no happy endings. Yeah, I’m a bastard down to the bone and I don’t give a damn.
But now I’m back in my birth town, the town I fled at eighteen – back to make amends to the brother I abandoned and watch from afar the only girl I’ve ever wanted. Hope isn’t a currency I can afford; I learned that lesson long ago.
Yet when she looks at me and says my name, I can’t help but hope.

This is book 2 in the Inked Brotherhood series which started with Asher. It is a stand-alone work. No cliffhanger.
The expected publication date is end July 2014, on all of your favorite e-book websites.

†EXCERPT
“Why?” I blurt out, to break the spell.
“Why what?” his voice rumbles, low and deep, sending shivers skittering over my skin.
God. I can’t let his face, his scent, his body take away my reason. I came here to talk. “Why did you leave four years ago?”
His mouth flattens and he shoves his fingers through his unruly hair. Those broad shoulders roll in a shrug.
That’s it? He thinks he’s off the hook that easily? No way. I push off the counter and get into his face—well, I crane my neck and almost rise on tiptoe, but it’ll have to do—and grab a fistful of his T-shirt. “Why didn’t you tell me you were going? Why didn’t you ever call? Where were you, for chrissakes?”
“What do you care?” he says, so quietly I’m only sure he spoke because I’m looking right at his beautiful mouth.
My grip on his T-shirt tightens. “Are you seriously asking me this?”
“You told me I should go and never come back.” His eyes close briefly, and a pang goes through my chest. “That I was a bastard and an asshole and wasn’t worth the trouble.”
Christ. I let go of him and take a faltering step back. I did say those things, didn’t I? “I’m sorry.” My hormones played havoc with my feelings back then, intensifying every feeling. “What about you? Why did you leave instead of talking this out? I never got a chance to tell you I’m sorry, you just…” I bite my lip and let out a long breath, but it catches in my throat.
Maybe he hears it because he reaches for me and trails his thumb down the line of my jaw. The gesture stills me completely as his dark eyes nail me. I see sadness there, and fear. What is he afraid of?
“I had to go,” he whispers and his hand drops away.
“You left town, Tyler. Left everyone and everything and nobody knew where you were. God, I was so worried.” My throat constricts; I can barely swallow.
“You were?” There’s a hitch in his voice, as if he doesn’t believe it.
“Yes, I was.” I’ve been so afraid for him for so long, I can hardly believe he’s here, alive and well. I reach up and slide my hand over his chest. It’s hard; solid. “Why, Tyler? Tell me why you left.”
“I don’t wanna talk about it,” he grinds out.
I want to bang my fist on his chest and slap his face. My fingers curl against the soft fabric of his T-shirt, and I feel his muscles clench underneath.
“Screw you,” I whisper and I hope my voice won’t break and betray me. “That’s all you have to say to me? I’m not going to—”
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispers.
Shocked into silence, I stare at him. His gaze is moving over my body, a hot, silky glide that steals my breath. His pupils are dilated, making his eyes look black.
I try again. “After all this time, I just want to know—”
His hand hooks around my back, pressing me to his body and he bends his head toward me, dark hair falling in his eyes. His mouth descends on mine, sealing the words inside.
The world falls away with a murmur as he kisses me. I gasp and his tongue pushes inside, tangling with mine. He licks at my mouth, and he tastes so good—like dark chocolate and pepper. Familiar. Thrilling. Sexy.
I want more. I slide my arms around his hips and kiss him back. His chest vibrates against me as he moans and then he drags me closer, until my breasts are crushed against his firm abs.
A tiny voice at the back of my mind is screeching in protest—this shouldn’t be happening, we should be talking, explaining, finishing this off—but it’s drowned in the rushing of blood in my ears, the thundering beat of my heart. His smell, his taste, the feel of his muscular body, it sends waves of scalding heat over my skin, through me, tightening the tips of my breasts, starting a pulse between my legs. I cling to him as I burn from the inside out; I desperately need him—need to feel him around me, against me, inside me. Everywhere where he’s been missing for so long.

Accidentally Married On Purpose

About ACCIDENTALLY MARRIED ON PURPOSE:

One ring plus one wild night equals one crazy love

Sherry Robicheaux loves men. She loves love. And she loves an adventure. So when she meets a mysterious man while working backstage at a country music concert in Vegas, she’s all about what’s happened in Vegas staying there.

Country music superstar Tyler Blue just wants a weekend of anonymity…though there’s something about the spunky waitress with the streaks of purple hair that tempts him like no other. Until the next morning, when they both wake up with fuzzy memories…and rings on their fingers.

Convincing Sherry to maintain the ruse for his public image isn’t the hardest part—it’s reminding himself that their time spent playing husband and wife in her small town of Magnolia Springs can’t last. Tyler’s first love will always be music—and the road is no place for a sweet downhome girl.

EXCERPT:

From opposite the long table of food, the brunette gave him a blatant once over as he came to a stop in front of her, twirling a strand of purple hair around her fingertip. When she reached his lucky belt buckle, her sinful lips twitched.

“If the words, ‘Come here often,’ leave your mouth, I swear I’ll laugh you straight back to roadie-ville.” Her words were harsh, but the smile that sprang free was playful, and Tyler found himself mesmerized by the familiar twang of her southern voice.

So much so that he’d almost missed what she said.

“Roadie-ville?”

“Sorry, do you prefer techie?” Her cute nose wrinkled as she stuck her hands in her back jeans pocket. “I heard someone else say that earlier, but I swear that sounds like a computer nerd.” She looked him up and down again, this time her gaze lingering around his hips. Slightly south of the belt buckle. Hot damn. “I think roadie fits you better. Sounds sexier.”

Tyler scratched the side of his jaw. Was she messing with him? He’d heard a hell of a lot of come-ons since making it to Nashville and had been propositioned in every way possible. But this was a first. The woman stared back, smiling that damn seductive smile, and he realized she honestly had no clue who he was. For some reason, he was in no hurry to correct that just yet.

He couldn’t recall the last time he’d gone anywhere without being recognized, much less his own concert. But since the room was swarming with crew, Tyler could understand the confusion…if she weren’t a hardcore fan, and clearly, this woman wasn’t. Tyler swiped a hand over his mouth, hiding a smile.

“Sugar, you can call me anything you like,” he drawled, laying it on thick even to his own ears. Her pretty lips parted, and he grinned. “And what can I call you?”

Her smile twisted into a smirk. “Who said you could call me at all?”

He laughed, shocked again, and for the first time in a long time, speechless.

She winked. “I’m Sherry.” When she said her name, she looked right into his eyes as if he should remember it, and he had no doubt that he would. The confidence pouring off her was sexy as hell. “And…you are?”

“Tyler,” he replied, glad she’d gone with just her first name so he could do the same. The rest of the world simply referred to Tyler as Blue, the front man for the band bearing his last name. Even so, he stood back and waited for a sign of recognition.

It never came.

When it became obvious she really had no clue who he was, nor would she guess any time soon, Tyler felt a knot of tension release between his shoulder blades.

“So, Sherry, you planning to watch tonight’s show?”

She pulled a face. “I’m not much for country, other than the line dances. All those songs about trucks and trains and whiskey and dogs, though that last one I can forgive.” Her smile softened and Tyler moved closer, wanting to be nearer the genuine warmth of it. “No offense to your boss or anything,” she added with a slight grimace. “I heard he’s pretty hot…even if he is the man-whore of country music.”

A shocked laugh burst from his lips. “Excuse me?”

She waved her comment away, as if she hadn’t just insulted him to his face—which, he guessed, she hadn’t really. At least not on purpose. “Just a theory I have. I’m sure he’s a perfectly adequate boss.”

Now, Tyler laughed for real. “Yeah, he’s…adequate.” Shaking his head, he propped his hip on the table. This was the most fun he’d had with a woman in months—and they both still had their clothes on.

Chapter 2
Then
“I don’t think I can go,” I tell my mom, looking directly at her, wanting nothing more than for her to meet my gaze. She won’t—I already know that—because looking at me would mean facing the inevitable.
Lily’s gone for good.
Mom drums her French-manicured fingernails on the thatched placemat, the beat uneven and rushed. “The car will be here to pick us up in an hour.” Her hazel eyes, red-rimmed and swollen, focus on the kitchen window. From the looks of it, she’ll start crying again at any second.
Five more drums of her fingers. A sniffle. Then two last beats.
She turns her head slightly in my direction, still refusing to look at me, but I get a clear view of her face. My mother’s always been beautiful, and even with her skin splotchy from crying and her short, chestnut-colored hair uncombed, she’s still stunning in that tragic, ethereal sense. “The car comes in an hour,” she repeats before pushing away from the kitchen table and shuffling away. Even though it never left her mouth, I know the precise word that’s rolling through her mind as I hear her climb the steps and slam her bedroom door.
Selfish.
Maybe she’s right. But maybe, if she’d just looked at me, she would have seen that selfishness is rooted in an even deeper emotion: fear.
I don’t want the last time I see my sister to be … this.
That’s not a memory I think I can deal with and I'm scared to hell of it.
But in the end, my dad stalks into the kitchen and motions for me to follow him. He gives me a gentle nudge toward the staircase with the instructions to get dressed and do it fast. Skin flushed, I find myself in my room. By the time I’m finished there are clothes all over the place and my chest is heaving up and down. I glare at myself in the mirror, at my chocolate brown eyes that are clear because I’ve been too numb to cry.
Eyes like Lily’s.
“You selfish bitch,” I mutter and make myself look away. “You’ve ruined everything.”
On the way to the funeral home, none of us say a word to each other. The closer we get, the more and more I don’t mind the silence. Maybe quietness, solitude, is what I need to make it through today.
I sit on the front row with my parents, unable to cry or breathe or think straight as one-by-one, people who knew my sister—who adored her—tell us how sorry they are. There’s her overachieving snob of a best friend, Kendra. The boy who broke Lily’s heart a year ago, the same one who tried, unsuccessfully, for the last year to win her back. There are teachers and teammates and her closest friends. There’s my own boyfriend, James. When he walks past, he stops for just a moment to give my hand a reassuring squeeze, but I don’t say anything to him.
I don’t trust my words.
*** So I continue to watch in stunned silence. There are so many people here that I don’t know that I barely notice the tall man who stops to talk to my parents. He’s speaking in a hushed voice, but the second, “Owen Delane’s brother” tumbles from his lips, my gaze snaps up. I don’t see very much of him through the sudden haze of tears, but I listen to every word, each one catching my breath.
“…so sorry for what happened. For what this has done to your—”
Before he can finish, my mother—the woman who’s never physically disciplined us a day in our lives, the same woman who hasn’t been able to look me in the eye since the afternoon the officers showed up to our house with the news—is on her feet, her eyes meeting his as she swings her hand roughly across his face.
“What gives you the right to think you can come here?” she demands, shrugging off my dad who stands and tries to take her by the shoulders. “Will it help you sleep better at night? Do you think I care if you or your brother is sorry?” With every word, her volume rises, until she’s practically screaming.
Every emotion that Delane is feeling passes over his tan face, and I can’t help but to feel for him, the brother of the man who killed my sister. Forcing my eyes down long enough for me to catch my breath, I dig my fingers into the pew beneath me. What happened to Lily wasn’t this man’s fault. Surely Mom knows that. But the more I try to reason with myself, the more bitter I feel. ***
When I look back up, Delane’s back is straight and his expression is unreadable. His eyes sweep over me for a brief moment, just long enough for him to give me a solemn nod, and then he turns on his heel and walks away. I know every head inside the funeral home is turned on him, so I look at my mother instead.
My father has pulled her back down to a sitting position, and she buries her face in the crook of his neck, sobbing uncontrollably. Dad looks ahead—quiet and tearless—his gaze pointed on the white casket that’s not even ten feet away from us. And behind us, I know there’s more crying. Hushed whispers because my mom just decked a guy. I can’t hear any of it. There’s a blaring in my ears. A pressure sitting on my chest.
And suddenly, I’m on my feet, my gaze pointed down at my parents. “I’m so sorry,” I whisper, finally breaking my silence.
I don’t fully realize that I’ve left the building until the brisk fall air knocks me in the face. It, combined with the tears that have begun to fall, stings my cheeks. A second after my foot touches the bottom step I feel a hand clamp down on my shoulder. I half-expect it to be my father, but when I spin around, I come face to face with Kendra.
In spite of everything she must be going through herself, her eyebrows are pulled together over her dark brown eyes in concern over me. And I’ve been nothing but a bitch to this girl since she and my sister became friends in middle school. Kendra presses her lips together and then lets out a breath. “Evie … where are you going?”
The sad reality is, I don’t even know. “Oh God, Kendra. I’ve fucked everything up.” Immediately, she wraps her arm around me, drawing a gasp, and a sob, from the back of my throat. I drop my head against her shoulder. “I don’t even have the—”
“Shut up,” Kendra orders in a calm voice as she holds me even tighter. “Shut up and stop trying to do this on your own. You shouldn’t.” She releases me, takes a step back, and braces herself. “I don’t want to do it on my own either, okay?”
For the next ten minutes, she and I sit together on that bottom step. Neither of us says a word, and I’m almost certain neither of us manages more than a few breaths, but she doesn’t leave and I won’t either. Finally, at the sound of Lily’s favorite Regina Spektor song—the one I’d suggested we use for the slideshow—Kendra stands and jerks her head to the front door of the funeral home.
“Hey, Evie?” she whispers tearfully. “We can help each other, okay?”
Nodding, I stumble to my feet, brushing my palms over my skirt to smooth off any dirt. But as I go back inside and take my spot beside my parents, letting a song about not saying goodbye burn into my brain, I can’t help but wonder what Owen Delane’s brother would have said if he’d finished speaking.

I knew the exact moment I’d become a ‘yes’ girl.
December 16th, a cold winter’s night, four years ago.
The night my innocence was stolen, the night I made the mistake of saying no—a mistake I’d never make again.

 Excerpt
Everything happened so quickly. My hand encased hers, entwining our fingers in a protective move I couldn’t put into words. I didn’t stick around to hear anything else Nick decided to spit. I tugged on our joined hands and she, without question, followed me though the crowd towards the far corner of the bar where we were still close enough to the action yet able to be hidden from the fuckwit likes of Nick Edwards. My mind raced about what I could possibly say to explain my irrational actions. Since when had I become some knight in shining armor?

When we reached our refuge, I halted and dropped her hand. The moment I stepped back, I collided with a hard wall of Josh’s body, and over my shoulder, I found Josh staring at me with wide eyes. I tore my eyes from Josh and turned to find Eden, her friend, and Ashlyn awaiting my next move.

“Do something, dickhead. All eyes are on you after that little performance. You don’t go caveman and grab your woman and then just stand beside her like she’s a stranger.”

Josh was right. I looked back towards the corner of the bar and wasn’t surprised to find Nick and his crew watching with knowing smirks on their faces. Fuck. I had two choices. I could walk away right now, leave the bar knowing that I had done a good deed, and hope to Christ that she could take care of herself, or I could man the fuck up and finish what I’d started.

I pulled Eden firmly against me, wrapping my arms tightly around her waist so her back was flush with my chest. Resting my chin on her shoulder, I couldn’t help but notice how well her body molded to mine. She still hadn’t said a word. Her body was rigid in my arms, and after I heard her inhale sharply, she now held her breath.

“You’ve got to breathe,” I whispered into her ear.

Once again, she simply nodded. She trembled like a leaf in a hurricane against me. Her hands finally clutched my bare forearms, which were resting over her stomach. Her nails dug into my flesh, sending a shot of pain up through my arms, but I didn’t say a thing.

Her body wouldn’t stop trembling, and without hesitation, my grip tightened, trying desperately to pull her body closer to mine. She was completely breaking down in my arms and I didn’t know what the fuck to do, so I did what I hoped would calm her down.

I held on to her for dear life.
